Caleb Alexander Smith is a director, writer, and actor based in Los Angeles. As an actor, he’s appeared in Brooklyn Nine-Nine, Modern Family, and will next recur in Ryan Murphy’s All’s Fair, starring Naomi Watts and Glenn Close.

Forelock marks his solo directorial debut, developed in collaboration with David Krumholtz (Oppenheimer), cinematographer Roberto Schaefer, ASC, AIC (Stranger Than Fiction), and casting directors Kerry Barden and Paul Schnee (Spotlight).

Inspired by years of being mistaken for a certain caped icon on Hollywood Boulevard, Smith wrote, directed, and stars in the film—a dark comedy that blends personal experience with sharp cultural satire and showcases his sardonic take on modern American life.
